Immune health and inflammation – a functional approach for exercise professionals with Dr Stewart Gillespie

This episode contains insights into a relatively new perspective on immune health that will really fascinate and engage you. JP (John Polley) and Dr Stewart Gillespie discuss things we hear about in our profession on a daily basis – auto immune issues, allergies, food intolerance, symptoms that indicate deeper issues – and look into what actions are afoot in peoples immune systems that can lead to their problems. Are they dominant in a catabolic (TH1) pathway for example, and if so, where did it all start?

It gets more interesting as they examine where initial ‘insults’ to immune health begin (mental, emotional and physical), where they lead if unchecked and just as importantly, what we can do about it through accessible changes in lifestyle. You’ll never look at stress, immune health and inflammation, and the nervous system the same again!

Tune into another of JP’s indepth interviews with global industry figures, this one with Dr Perry Nickelston, author of Stop Chasing Pain
