Older Adults & Exercise
This is a foundation course for exercise professionals who want to gain some practical knowledge that allows them to work confidently with older adults. It covers the ageing process, common long-term age-related conditions, and the functional needs of older adult and explains appropriate exercise interventions for this cohort particularly in the areas of strength and balance. On completion of the course you’ll be able to plan and deliver safe and meaningful exercise in a 1-1 or group setting for older adults.

Prostate Cancer for Exercise Professionals
This introductory course allows students to gain an overview the of Prostate Cancer and the various treatment and management pathways. The implications and side effects of treatment are covered together with the specific modalities of exercise that will serve to manage and improve these side effects. Following the course students will have the knowledge to programme and instruct a safe and effective class for men with PCa.

Obesity and Diabetes
This introductory course is designed to give exercise professionals practical knowledge to allow them to work confidently with clients or class participants who are obese or living with diabetes. The course covers the causes, pathophysiology and management of obesity and diabetes. It explains the importance of appropriate exercise interventions giving you practical programming examples and a clear understanding of the considerations and precautions to be taken when prescribing and instructing exercise.

Respiratory Conditions For Exercise Professionals
This introductory course is designed to give exercise professionals practical knowledge to allow them to work confidently with people living with respiratory issues. The course covers: The pathophysiology of respiratory conditions, the various treatment options, an understanding of the implications COPD has psychologically and the programming and instruction of a safe and effective class for people with COPD. Arthritis and Osteoporosis
This introductory course is designed to give exercise professionals practical knowledge to allow them to work confidently with clients or class participants with the conditions of arthritis or osteoporosis.
The course covers the symptoms, causes, diagnosis and treatment of the most common forms of arthritis. It includes the physiology of osteoporosis, risk factors, screening and treatment.
It explains the importance of appropriate exercise interventions giving students practical programming examples and a clear understanding of what should and shouldn’t be included in an exercise programme for someone with arthritis or osteoporosis.
