ViPR for Pilates

Grab your 2kg ViPR and learn how to integrate this versatile tool into your Pilates matwork. Bring Pilates and ViPR together and discover how to increase strength and mobility gains, as well as challenge core and stabilising muscles. By introducing the unique features and weight of a 2kg ViPR, your clients will approach life’s challenges feeling stronger and with greater ease.

Suggested Pre-requisite:

  • CIMSPA: L3 Mat Pilates

To attain the CIMSPA accredited CPD points for this course you will need to have already completed a Level 3 Pilates qualification

Course Aims and Objectives:

  • Be able to incorporate a 2kg ViPR into Pilates matwork programmes for your clients
  • Know the differences and benefits of the various ViPR handholds and positions
  • Be able to use ViPR to teach the four spinal movements and their combinations
  • Know how to use ViPR to teach the core principles of Pilates and trunk stabilisation
  • Relate ViPR principles of movement into Pilates matwork programming
  • Use ViPR as a prop to better cue the principles of Pilates
  • Use ViPR to increase the functional benefits of Pilates matwork training with your clients

  • Stephanie Glickman

    Stephanie Glickman has been teaching fitness for 20 years and Pilates since 2003. In 2006 she established Armature (Melbourne, Australia), a studio dedicated to both Pilates and strength training. She is certified through Stott Pilates, Breathe Education, Pilates ITC, Polestar and the APMA. A former Stott Pilates and Breathe Education instructor trainer, she regularly presents nationally across fitness and Pilates platforms, spreading the joys of cross training Pilates and strength. She is also a Les Mills Body Step instructor, recreational Olympic weightlifter and the dance critic of the Herald Sun.
