S & C – Advanced Periodisation, Programming and Training Principles

This course covers some of the key areas of Anatomy and Physiology within the neuromuscular system as well as giving the learner an understanding of Periodisation, Post-Activation Potentiation, ROM differentiation, and exercise examples.

Suggested Pre-requisite:

  • CIMSPA: L3 PT

Aims and objectives of course:

  • Grasp the differences between Strength and Power
  • Understand how to implement linear and non-linear periodisation
  • Understand how to identify ROM as it relates to training modes
  • Understand the role of the nervous system in recruitment.

Stu Gatherum has worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years, he has been a full time PT, a Strength and Conditioning coach for a range of professional athletes in different sports and is a fitness educator both in the U.K and Internationally, running two businesses centred around educational delivery in T2 Fitness, and content creation in T2 Awards. One of his primary passions in fitness is the area of S&C, and he has a unique perspective on its application within sports, as well as with a PT client base.
