FitPro LIVE was delighted to partner with suspension training giants TRX at this year’s event. As leaders in functional training, the TRX team brought its energy, expertise and industry-leading education programmes to ExCeL London on 9 and 10 July to deliver best-in-class workouts and to show you how you can #EarnYourBetter….

Before the doors opened, the event kicked off on 8 July with Meeting of the Minds – a one-day invitation-only conference that brought together experts and key decision-makers from across the health and fitness industry to present to more than 160 professionals. TRX was invited to present alongside senior representatives from industry-wide organisations, including Precision Nutrition and PTA Global, with TRX senior director Alan Holl taking to the stage before introducing Fraser Quelch, TRX head of training and development.

Having held senior roles at both Fitness First and Virgin Active before joining TRX in 2014, Alan’s message at Meeting of the Minds was clear, “The best trainers I’ve ever managed and worked with are self-educators and self-motivators; both are essential traits required in the best personal trainers and it’s these members of staff that will strengthen your facility’s offering and keep your members coming back to your club.”

Fraser’s presentation echoed this, “Conditions are ever-changing but standards remain and education has to evolve; as fitness coaches we should be empowering our clients and coaching them to be better – not focusing on counting reps or filling up their water bottles!”

Inspired by a fantastic day at Meeting of the Minds, the TRX team descended on FitPro LIVE for what was to be a busy two days of workouts, training sessions and education.

TRX master trainers were on-hand to guide attendees through each workout, and sessions included TRX Partner Fusion, multi-modality high-intensity circuits, Rip Training, Advanced Suspension Training, and TRX Flow – the new mobility and core-focused workout that combines yoga-inspired movements on the TRX Suspension Trainer with more traditional strength, stability and flexibility exercises.

More than 600 personal trainers from Fitness First took part in a group training session led by Fraser Quelch, and the team was also visited by double Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes, who was put through her paces on the TRX Advanced Suspension Training course by master trainer Darren Dillon.

Commenting on this year’s event, Alan Holl said, “The TRX team enjoyed a great two days at FitPro LIVE; there was a real buzz around the event and it provided us with the opportunity to not only showcase our education programmes, but to engage with hundreds of personal trainers and instructors who will be responsible for delivering our programmes in facilities across the country.”

“We are proud to be associated with FitPro LIVE, and the synergies between the event’s messaging and the TRX brand are well-aligned; education remains central to the success and development of individuals and organisations within our industry.”
