After Lockdown 1.0 Lindsey Simpson and Katie Lewis, Mental Health England First Aiders began to wonder how everyone else was coping with Lockdown. How does the mental health of my colleagues and industry friends compare to the mental health of those working in other industries?

They decided they wanted to survey the sector to find out the workforce’s state of mind. They also wanted to explore what provision employers have in place to promote good mental health.

This started them on a new and exciting path. CIMSPA is now partnering with them, helping to put the survey in front of as many individuals and employers as possible.

FitPro’s managing director, Jane Waller spoke to Lindsey to find out more about this great initiative. Listen HERE

Here are the two surveys discussed in the podcast

1. The Fitness and Active Leisure Workforce State of Mind 2021 Survey. This is aimed at anyone (employed or self-employed) working in the sector. It is not limited to those working in a fitness facility to leisure centre. It is open to everyone – you for example!

2. The Employer 2021 survey – aimed at senior managers/business owners responsible for a staff team.

The surveys each take around 6 mins to complete and it would be great if you could take a few minutes to complete these.

Please also feel free to share this far and wide with your team network. Once the results are collated, a report will be available to download from their website: www.workplacementalwealth.com but more on that to follow. Surveys will close mid-February.
