Qualifications
CYQ Level 2 Certificate in Instructing Health-Related Fitness for Children
What is it?
The qualification is aimed at individuals (16+) who wish to run health-related fitness sessions for children, or simply wish to update their knowledge and confidence in teaching. The course is government approved, ensuring that instructors now meet the standard set by Ofsted in teaching this special population.
Upon completion of a two-day module and an additional external assessment, each instructor will be awarded a nationally recognised qualification. This qualification incorporates the already successful material from Fitclub's very own teamenergy programme and on completion of the course you are certified to teach teamenergy in any licensed Fitclub facility.
What is involved?
The qualification has two compulsory stages:
Stage 1
You will need to attend a two-day training module run over two consecutive
weekends. This includes both practical and written learning and concludes
with a short theoretical assessment. You will be required to purchase
a booklet prior to the module which will allow you time to prepare. Contact
the Fitclub training team on (0)20 8586 0101 for further information.
Stage 2
This is an external assessment requiring completion of lession plans, videoing yourself teaching a practical class and submitting this for assessment.
