Reviews of the Fitpro Spring Convention 2007
FitPro conventions to date have left a legacy and 2007 was no different. The hybrid knowledge, creativity and diversity brought new energy to make its impact on the fitness industry. The eight core streams became animated with the ultra–sought–after sessions fronted by international and UK critically acclaimed presenters. Delegates from around the world travelled in search of revolutionary knowledge contained in this highly esteemed event.
This event was organised by fitness professionals for fitness professionals. Julie Grant, a studio coordinator who attended 2007, remarked:
“After a few years away from FitPro I can honestly say that I was truly spoiled without knowing it at the time. I know now that FitPro conventions are the most well run, proficient, educational, scientific and above all the most professional of fitness conferences. Thank you.”
Presenters such as Peter Twist, Chuck Wolf, Helen Carpenter Waters and others laced the event with professionalism and passion. This was coupled with new trends and techniques to educate and revive. Group fitness instructor Natalie Hawker told us:
“A major draw for me is Magnus Ringburg. I think his classes are just fantastic. Also Zoë McNulty is brilliant. The lecture on 'Energy Medicine' by Steve Jack was so interesting and I think there should definitely be more lectures along those lines in the future. The convention is a very high standard and I always have a fantastic and enriching time!”
Freestyle, BTS and PT sessions shone this year. There was also an opportunity to step up and try something a little different. Fitness instructor Suzanne Bryne certainly took advantage of that this year. Suzanne commented:
“Favourite instructors were as always Rebecca Small, Steve Schiemer, John Shehan and Vanessa Vassallo and Michael Christensen were exceptional. I also tried Yoav Avidar for the first time and really enjoyed his sessions.”
As well as sensational Aqua, Children’s fitness, Nutritional and Mind and Body sessions there was an excellent trade show. The show was specifically designed for the industry and was home for all three days to top players such as Nike, Anniluce and Hydro Active. The demos caused a stir with precision performances from Body Bike, David Hay and Outbox and the impeccable BTS trainer team.
So will you make it to the next FitPro Spring Convention? Joanne Joyce, a personal trainer, remarked:
“Had a great time brilliant sessions gave me a lot of insight towards future class structure. Staff of FitPro were great friendly and very helpful. All in all it was well worth the time (and sweat & tears) congratulations on a well-run convention!!!! See you next year.”
