YMCAfit launches the Advanced Studio Instructor qualification
Over the years, the job of the studio instructor has dramatically changed. Studio instructors now need to have the ability to teach a variety of classes and formats and also to be in touch with the latest industry trends.
Specifically designed to give the level 2 studio instructor recognition of their skills and knowledge at level 3, the Advanced Studio Instructor qualification is also a route to Level 3 specialist training modules.
The knowledge and skills you will learn from this five-day course will make you highly desirable to both customers and employers. The course is ideal for any level 2 instructors wishing to go forward with their career. Not only will you be recognised at level 3 on the REPs, you will also have a valuable toolkit of studio skills enabling you to deliver high-quality studio sessions including choreographed hi/lo, dance-style aerobics, body conditioning and studio sculpt. You will learn the communication and delivery skills to differentiate yourself from the crowd of other instructors, and learn the tips and techniques that presenters use to give them a unique selling point. You may also be a BTS instructor wishing to enhance your skills and have the freedom to design your own programmes.
