Joint Ventures
In a recession, local businesses are looking for new customers, just like you are, and their customers are just like yours. Opportunities are waiting in your local area. Think about which local businesses you don't have partnerships with and the key people within those businesses that you don't you have a business relationship with. We must not do what we have always done; we need to do more of what works in fighting times! Forming strategic alliances with local businesses will not only help you to be seen as the health and fitness specialist in your area – it will also generate quality leads to convert. Imagine the benefits of forming strategic alliances with owners of restaurants,
estate agents, hairdressers, health food shops, sandwich shops, accountants
etc in your local area. A smart salesperson knows that these formed alliances
have to be worked at and, in turn, can produce long-term results. Who do you have a joint venture with now? Is it working? If not, what needs to change? Do you see your joint venture partner on a regular basis to review results and develop the relationship? If not, when will you meet with them to strengthen the alliance? Who have you had a joint venture with in the past? Did it work? If not, what could have made it a success? What steps have you taken to improve the relationship? Who else could you target to discuss ways of working together for the common cause of helping each other to increase business? Easter is coming up – now is an ideal time to target the local chocolate shops, florists, travel agents and supermarkets. Imagine that every time someone purchased a chocolate egg, bunch of flowers, or Easter break they received an additional “healthy gift” from you – an Easter Health Club Break for Two for example. This is a great idea for someone special to enjoy the benefits of your facility – an effective way to spread the word of your business! Forming joint ventures is a great way to spread the word of your business and generate quality leads!
