Interactive Coaching for Success: 10 Minute Gym™

Case study: Aquaterra Leisure

Aquaterra Leisure, a charitable trust leisure provider, manages 16 facilities in the UK, and has been using Interactive Coaching for Success: 10 Minute Gym™ for several years. Following the success of the interactive coaching programme, Aquaterra created the Connect customer management software to identify those gym users who most needed interventions, and to monitor the interaction process and its outcomes. Connect clearly showed the correlation between interaction using the 10 Minute Gym™ model and the frequency and duration of user visits.

More than 85,000 interactions logged through Connect showed:

  • Customers who have been interacted with stay at least six months longer
  • 20% more members stay at least 12 months if interacted with Connect as a member management tool also showed:

  • A 365% increase in gym floor interactions after installing Connect
  • Using Connect to interact with people who joined in 2008 yielded an extra £352k across eight gyms
